A Clearance Certificate is a written declaration that a specific area where asbestos removal work has occurred has had specified asbestos containing material (ACM) removed and that any visible asbestos containing debris associated with that removal has been cleaned.
After completing Class A or Class B asbestos removal work, the person who commissioned the work must arrange for an independent person to conduct a visual inspection to ensure that no visible asbestos residue remains as a result of the work in the area where the work was performed or in the area immediately surrounding the area where the work was performed.
