We investigate, identify, and advise on hazards in your home or place of business

Asbestos is a dangerous material that was widely used in construction and other industries in the past. It is a known carcinogen and can cause serious health problems if it is inhaled. As a result, it is important to be aware of the presence of asbestos in your home or workplace and to take steps to remove it safely.

If you think that your home or workplace may contain asbestos, it is important to have it tested by a professional. This can be done through a variety of methods, including air monitoring and building inspections. Once the presence of asbestos has been confirmed, the next step is to have it removed by a qualified professional. This is not a DIY project and should only be done by someone with the proper training and equipment.

If you are in need of asbestos testing, reporting, or removal services, please contact us. We are dedicated to helping Australians protect their health and safety by removing asbestos from their homes and workplaces.

Asbestos

Six main types of asbestos

Chrysotile

This is the most common type of asbestos and is often referred to as “white asbestos.” It is a serpentine mineral that is soft and flexible, making it well-suited for use in products such as insulation and roofing materials.

Crocidolite

This is a type of asbestos that is blue in colour and is also known as “blue asbestos.” It is a less common type of asbestos, but it is more dangerous than chrysotile because its fibres are more easily inhaled.

Amosite

This type of asbestos is also known as “brown asbestos.” It is a less common form of asbestos that was primarily used in insulation materials.

Anthophyllite

This is a less common type of asbestos that is grey or brown in colour. It was typically used in products such as insulation and cement.

Tremolite

This is a type of asbestos that is found in a variety of colours, including white, green, and grey. It is less commonly used in products but can be found in some types of insulation and building materials.

Actinolite

This is a less common type of asbestos that is found in a variety of colours, including green, grey, and black. It was not commonly used in products but can be found in some types of insulation and building materials.
